Dominic Pillai is an independent filmmaker who has started his own vlog series. In it he will be discussing many different aspects of film (theory, genre, technique, reviews etc) but from a personal standpoint, often in relation to his own film projects.
Today Dominic discusses Lady in the Lake and the strengths and failings of POV Camerawork.
You can contact Dominic or watch his work by following him on Twitter and Vimeo.

I would also like to add that I dislike the POV shots in The Amazing Spiderman, I felt they jarred with the rest of the film! But there must some examples of good POV in movies that I’ve missed out, please comment below & let me know!
Hey!
I saw your vlog about POV camera work and the film Lady in the Lake.
I’m doing a research about POV in commercials and films.
I’d like to know if you received any feed back or tips about POV in movies? I already saw the comments in Youtube. Sent you this same message in Youtube also.
Thanks!

Thanks for your comment Jenny! I haven’t received any more feedback yet, but if I do it will probably be via my twitter page @souvenir86. If I hear anything I will certainly forward it on to you… plus anything you come across I would love to hear more about! It’s an interesting subject matter.
Are you currently studying at Uni? Once your research is done I would be very interested in seeing the finished results!
Thanks again
